October of last year seems like so many, many ages ago, but yet its still fresh in my mind! Julie and Kevin were married on this beautiful fall October day in Cayuga and all evidence of rain or clouds were no where to be seen! Although it was a bit chilly, the wedding couple looked very cozy and warm in their pictures!
Upon arriving at Julie’s moms house, the room was a-flurry with quiet activity. Final preparations were being put in place to ensure everything was set to go. The bridesmaids were able to spend a few minutes opening their gifts from Julie. The house was not only full of people, it was also filled to brim with laughter, joy, and warmth. Alexa, my amazing second photographer for the day, was able to spend a similar morning with the groom and his groomsmen. But guys being guys, and the little amount of time it takes them to get ready, they were able to get a few minutes of frisbee in before heading to the church.
Julie and Kevin chose to do a first look and picked the Cayuga Courthouse as the perfect setting for their moment and I couldn’t have agreed more! The grounds of the Cayuga courthouse and the trails system provided a great environment for all our bride and groom, bridal party, and family portraits. Throughout the formal picture session, both Kevin and Julie were at ease with one another. The focus of the day was on their joining together in love but also spending the time with all of their closest loved ones. It was a joy filled day!
After a beautiful church service at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church in York we traveled to the Dunnville Community Lifespan Centre to celebrate and party! One of my favourite moments of each wedding day is listening and documenting the speeches of parents and loved ones to the wedding couple. The love and truth that they speak into their children lives always, always, brings me to tears. These two received some incredible words of wisdom from their loved ones and are truly surrounded by very amazing people.
Congratulations again Julie and Kevin!! I know that a number of months have passed and you are settling into life with one another, I pray that God is continually cultivating in you both a love for one another. May you pursue to learn what it means to serve and be served and may you be blessed as you continue to adventure with one another in your lives together!
