If I had my way, I would have EVERY session by the water! In all reality though, there are SO many beautiful locations in my area to explore. Last summer I had the honour of photographing another photographer, Jen, and her beautiful family!
Jen’s one goal was to create a session around water. One of my favourite locations to visit is Beattie Pinery, which is only a two minute drive from my house. This spot has been a go to for a long time and I was excited to be able to share this location with her awesome family!
The best time for any session is the hour before sunset. This ‘golden light’ is a photographers dream and we will go crazy once it starts to appear. Photographers are kind of weird that way, lol!
The light for our session was perfection and you’ll be able to see that in the images below! The water and the light created the perfect location for a laid back, lifestyle family session. My aim is always to create a space in which my clients are comfortable. This enables them to be themselves, to relax, and to enjoy the time that they are spending together!
I know photo sessions can be intimidating and nerve-racking. That’s normal! I understand those emotions and am aware of them as we go about our session together. Space is such an important aspect to feeling and enjoying a session together.
This session was a wonderful example of finding a spot that my clients were comfortable in. This in turn, allows for some beautiful photographs, and more importantly, new memories!
